One of the most commonly asked questions I get about blogging has absolutely nothing to do with WordPress, social media, or the countless hours of behind-the-scenes work required to produce a single blog post. Nope. What are people the most curious about? How I get invited to the cool events that I post on my Insta Stories.
I’m not going to lie, the events are one of my favorite parts of blogging. In the last 6 months, I have had the opportunity to attend a Design Panel and Luncheon with Moll Anderson, author of “What’s Your Color Story” and Mary Ella Gabler, the founder of Peacock Alley. Fleastyle invited me to a Tacos and Tequila Night to kick off the Spring Fleastyle show in Dallas last month. I got to get a sneak peak at the new Sprinkles in Plano and got to take a stab at decorating my own cupcake (let’s just say professional baking is not in my future). And next week, I will be attending an event with Casamigos Tequila and Sugarfina- does it get any better than tequila and rosé gummy bears?
But one of the greatest opportunities I’ve gotten through blogging to date has to be partakng in the Break For Beauty event with The Spa at the Crescent and Cosmedix. I have been asked SO MANY TIMES about this amazing event, so I am going to spill all the deets here.
Break for Beauty Blogger Event
First of all, the staff at the Crescent makes you feel like you are the most important person in the room (and given their high society clientele, I definitely AM NOT). When I pulled up to the valet, there was a lady waiting for me who had already memorized my picture. It was the closest I’ve ever felt to understanding what Kim K experiences on a daily basis. From then on, the whole experience was one big pampering session. Of course I was greeted with champagne, introduced to the Cosmedix brand, got a tour of the spa’s facilities, and then proceeded to the Blueberry Smoothie Facial Treatment.
The entire facial took an hour and let me tell you- it was PURE BLISS. And here’s what makes this facial different from the “traditional facial”. It does NOT make your skin peel, so you can literally receive the treatment on the day of a big event to ensure you have that “celebrity glow”.
The lovely people at Cosmedix sent me home with some products catered to my skin type to help my skin stay healthy and hydrated all summer long. If you are looking for a fun way to beat the heat this summer, or just in need of a “girl’s day” call the Spa at the Crescent and book the Blueberry Smoothie Facial. Tell them Fun Sized Erin sent you 😉
