I agree, “Rose All Day” is definitely better. But who said the two have to be mutually exclusive?
This is my favorite look to date, and I’m not sure if it’s because I’m obsessed with my ensemble or the multi-colored wall in the background. This look is the perfect balance between stylish and effortless (and not to mention affordable). This outfit can transition from church to bestie brunch to dinner with your in-laws. And not to mention, all 4 pieces are staples on their own, which totally lets you justify buying all of them 😉
If you haven’t noticed, my spending budget is probably very similar to yours. I don’t own a Louis Vuitton (still praying that we win the lottery for that to happen). My husband texts me every time he sees a larger charge on our credit card in hopes that we’re simply victims of credit card fraud. And I’ve only had one facial in my lifetime (shoutout to my high school boyfriend).
For this reason, I try to invest in good-quality, staple pieces. Jeans that can be dressed up or dressed down. A simple dress that can be transformed into a completely different outfit with a little accessorizing.
I remember a specific teacher I had in 9th grade. She was young, cute, and extremely intelligent – everyone loved her. But I swear, she owned 3 pairs of dress pants and 3 solid button down shirts. Everyday she just rotated between the 6 articles of clothing. Some of you may be shaking your heads at my apparant “shallowness”, but when boys notice, you have to admit you have a problem. So when I became a teacher, I became overly conscious of repeating outfits. In case you don’t remember your youth, teenagers take no prisoners.
I also didn’t have the money to purchase a new outfit for all 180 days of school, so I had to get creative with my wardrobe. And by the end of the year, I totally got the 8th grade girl stamp of approval (#goals).
